The Ultimate Stag Do Amsterdam Guide 2026: A 48-Hour Playbook
So you’ve been handed the keys. The best man’s job. A WhatsApp group of 14 mates, half of them already arguing about the dates, and one mission: deliver the kind of stag do in Amsterdam that becomes a permanent feature in your group’s mythology.
Good news. Amsterdam is built for exactly this. The city is small enough to walk, the canals are made for boat parties, the nightlife runs on a different time zone to the rest of Europe, and pretty much every group activity in this town comes with unlimited drinks on tap. The bad news? There are about a thousand companies selling stag dos here and most of them are a coin-flip on quality.
This is the playbook we’d run if it was our mate getting married. A full 48-hour stag do template built around the activities that actually deliver, with real prices, real timings, and zero filler.
Why Amsterdam for a Stag Do
Three reasons it’s still the number one stag destination in Europe.
One — geography. The whole city centre is a 20-minute walk end-to-end. You can fit a boat tour, a workshop, dinner, a bar crawl and a club into the same Saturday without anyone losing the group. Try doing that in Berlin.
Two — flights. Schiphol is one of the cheapest, most-connected airports in Europe. Half your group can fly from anywhere in the UK for under £80 return, even on a Friday afternoon.
Three — the activities are actually built for groups. Most cities have a couple of “stag-friendly” venues. Amsterdam has a whole industry of canal boats, bar crawl hosts, stripclubs, workshops and adventure activities that all assume you’re rolling in with 12 to 20 people. The infrastructure is here.
The 48-Hour Stag Do Template
Here’s the framework. Adjust the chaos level to suit your group — we’ll flag the harder and softer options as we go.
Friday Evening: Hit the Water Running
Most of the group lands at Schiphol between 4pm and 7pm on Friday. Get to the apartment, drop the bags, regroup. Then straight onto a private boat.
This is the single best opener for a stag weekend. You get everyone together, drinks flowing, the stag is officially “off-duty”, and the city introduces itself from the canals in the best possible way. 1.5 hours, unlimited drinks, and you’re back on dry land by 9pm ready for dinner.
The two we’d pick:
- Booze Boat — the classic. 1.5 hours of cruising with unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. From EUR 45 per person (Dutch Bar) or 54.95 for the International Bar (adds spirits).
- Amsterdam Strip Boat — same cruise, plus a live strip show on board. From EUR 60.95 per person. The stag will tell this story for the next decade.
If the group is more food-first than party-first, the Pizza Boat serves fresh pizza on board (from EUR 50 pp) and the BBQ Boat brings the grill onto the canals (from EUR 65.95 pp).
Friday Night: Bar Crawl, Then Out
Don’t try to wing the nightlife on a stag. Amsterdam’s bar scene is dense and brilliant, but on a Friday night with 14 of you, queueing in the cold getting turned away from venues kills the energy fast. Get a host.
The Dominatrix Bar Crawl is the signature stag option. 2 hours, 3 bars, a real Dominatrix leading your group with games, dares, and 3 shots per person. From EUR 39.95 per person. It’s chaotic, it’s hilarious, and your group walks past every queue.
For groups that want something more surreal, the Oempa Loempa Bar Crawl pairs you with a small guide in full Oompa Loompa costume (from EUR 49.95 pp). For the security-themed prank, the Mini Security Bar Crawl gives the stag his own tiny bouncer for the night.
After the crawl, the night either ends or escalates. If it escalates, that’s where the next section comes in.
Friday Late: The Stripclub Run
This is the classic stag finisher and the easiest part of the weekend to get wrong. Walk-up to most clubs with a group of 14 and you’re either getting turned away or massively overpaying at the door.
Our Stripclub Experience books your whole group into one of Amsterdam’s best clubs with a fixed-price package, entry sorted, drinks sorted, and a dedicated experience for the stag. Three tiers:
- Bronze — EUR 94.95 pp — Entry, 1 beer, lap dance for the stag
- Silver — EUR 105.95 pp — Entry, 1 beer, stage show for the stag
- Gold — EUR 117.50 pp — Entry, 1 beer, 30 minutes private upstairs with private dance show and jacuzzi
Group consensus: Silver is the sweet spot for most stag weekends.
Saturday Daytime: Burn It Off
This is the part most stag organisers underestimate. After Friday’s chaos, your group needs three things on Saturday: fresh air, food, and an activity that pulls everyone out of their hangover and into the day. Skip it and the group fragments — half disappear “back to the apartment for a nap” and the energy is gone before dinner.
The two activities that consistently nail this:
- Quad Riding — quad biking near Amsterdam through the Dutch countryside. Open to all levels, beginners or experienced. EUR 49.50 per person. One of the best-value outdoor activities we offer and the adrenaline kills any hangover in about 8 minutes flat.
- Wipe Out Obstacle Course — 7 obstacles, 3 hours, inspired by the TV show. The most challenging obstacle course in the Netherlands. About an hour from Amsterdam — limo transfer available. EUR 75 per person. The stag falls in water 11 times and everyone has it on video.
If the group is paintball-or-die, we have Paintball and Karting (or the upgraded Real Life Mario Karting) running too.
Saturday Afternoon: Workshop or Tasting
Sneaky pro move. Slot a 1.5–2 hour workshop in mid-afternoon. It’s structured (so the stag’s dad and the stag’s brother can both enjoy it), it has built-in drinking (because of course it does), and it gives the group a second wind before dinner.
- Whiskey Tasting Workshop — guided tasting with a personal bartender. EUR 37.50 pp.
- Gin Tasting Workshop — taste different gins, make your own cocktails. EUR 37.50 pp.
Saturday Night: Dinner Show, Then Out
Saturday night is the headline event of the weekend. Don’t waste it on a regular restaurant. Amsterdam has a whole category of dinner-with-entertainment experiences specifically designed for stag groups.
The big one is the Pizza and Stripper dinner combo if you want the stag-do classic, or the VIP erotic dinner show for groups going premium. Both deliver food, drink and entertainment in one fixed-price block so there’s no faff about ordering, splitting the bill or chasing the stag around the venue.
After dinner, it’s the second night of bar-crawl-and-club. If you used a host on Friday, you don’t need one again — the group knows the city by now. Pick a club, walk in, finish the night.
Sunday: Soft Landing
Whoever organised the stag deserves to sleep in on Sunday. Brunch somewhere central, then if anyone has the legs for it, a short walking tour or a shared canal cruise is a nice closer before the airport runs start.
The Playboy Tour is a guided walk through the cheekier side of the city if anyone’s still got energy. For groups going the other direction, the A’dam Coffeeshop Tour is the obvious closer.
Sample Budget: 12-Person Stag Do
Rough per-person pricing for the template above, mid-tier choices:
- Friday Booze Boat — EUR 45
- Friday Dominatrix Bar Crawl — EUR 39.95
- Friday Stripclub Silver — EUR 105.95
- Saturday Quad Riding — EUR 49.50
- Saturday Whiskey Tasting — EUR 37.50
- Saturday Pizza & Stripper dinner — varies
- Activities subtotal: ~EUR 280 per person
Add accommodation (~EUR 80–150 pp per night) and flights, and you’re looking at roughly EUR 600–800 per person all-in for a fully stacked weekend. The stag’s contribution is usually covered by the group.
The Stuff Nobody Tells You
- Minimum group size is 10 people. If your group is 8, you pay for 10. Most other stag operators in Amsterdam run the same minimum — it’s not a swindle, it’s how the industry works.
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before. Lock dates in now, sort the awkward “is Dave actually coming?” situation later.
- Don’t book everything for the same hour. Pad 30 minutes between activities. Stag groups run on stag time.
- Pay deposits, not full amounts upfront. Our checkout supports deposits via the Mollie payment system — you collect from the group later.
- The stag’s mum is going to see the photos. Plan accordingly.
Lock In Your Stag Do Now
Summer 2026 stag weekends are booking up — boats especially, because there are only so many of them on the canals. If you’ve got a date locked in, lock in the activities while there’s still flexibility.
Browse the full activity catalogue or message us on WhatsApp and we’ll help you build the weekend from scratch. We do this every week. We’ve seen what works and what falls apart at 1am.
Your stag deserves a story. Let’s give him one.
